Questions & Answers

How do you dress?

We always dress in clean dress pants, dress shirt and dress shoes. We do not wear jackets and ties as it is uncomfortable/restrictive while shooting and can cause overheating while moving around.

How do you interact with the guests?

We are always professional and friendly. Our goal is to make sure everyone is comfortable with us and that we are not in the way. Our goal is to capture the day and that also includes your guests, which may want to say a few words that we are happy to video.

Can I ask you to specifically focus on a few people etc ?

We encourage the wedding couple to let us know if they want us to focus on particular people in the wedding party or guests (grandparents, uncles, aunts). The more we know who people are in advance the better we can accommodate your needs.

Do you work closely with the photographer?

We work closely and have great relationships with many Banff photographers and do not get in their way. We do however try to get the best shot at the ceremony which is the most important moment during the video and request to place ourselves where we are stationary on a tripod. The photographers can then work around us as they are mobile throughout the ceremony.

Why is there a big difference in pricing?

We have made a variety of packages to meet the needs of all wedding couples. Not every couple wants a full production and may only want the Ceremony captured to show friends and family that couldn’t be there. We have created options to add on instead of packaging it, this allows for flexibility .

Do you have samples of your work?

We have placed a few samples on the website that give you a good idea of our shooting/editing style. After viewing these you can decide if we fit your stylistic requirements. Every Banff videographer or Banff photographer has a style of their own. Pick the one that meets your stylistic needs.

How do I book your services?

Once you have let us know that you are interested and have chosen a date, we then e-mail, or fax you a contract. We ask that you send it back completed and remit a 50% non-refundable retainer fee to guarantee the date.

How many cameras do you use?

We use one camera for all our packages, however we can always add a second cameraman for the ceremony getting another angle ($250.00/hour) The costs of editing is also included in the price, as it will take more time to edit your wedding video.

How do you deliver the video?

All of our videos are delivered on DVD format and is region free. We can also produce it for the web, CD and even your Ipod at our client’s request.

What kind of equipment do you use?

We use a the latest High Definition Sony Z1U HDV, Sony A1U and Sony XDCAM EX camera. The microphones we use are Sennheiser both shotgun and lapel mics. Of course we have many other accessories too many to mention.

Do you shoot High Definition (HD)?

We shoot all our weddings in High Definition format and deliver in a Wide Screen DVD so it can be viewed on the latest Wide Screen TV which is the future. And for an extra cost we can produce your video in Blu Ray HD format.
